I wanted to create a weather app for adults that want to add some cuteness to their mundane adult tasks - like daily weather checking.

I love cute stuff! There is nothing wrong in enjoying childish things being far into adulthood. And those cute smiling faces will make sure you start your day smiling even on the rainiest days.
